Between projects, I visited our fabric warehouse outlet store and discovered they’d just gotten a new shipment of batiks: all yellow and black. Although the combination of yellow and black is not what I was expecting, I was compelled to purchase several pieces. The new challenge was to make each block different and interesting, then to quilt each block with a new (to me) design. The goal is to make every inch of this quilt interesting and worth studying. By the end of quilting, drawing roses with the sewing machine filled the last block. Now I kinda like yellow and black!
